Overview: 

The Production Lead is a critical point of contact for all event related needs of a Luxe client. He/she is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships. The Production Lead works in a team-oriented environment with the other operations departments to deliver a seamless and integrated client experience.

A successful Production Lead will:

  • Aims for the WOW!

  • Establish contacts and develop relationships with vendors/partners

  • Possess the ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team to produce the desired result

  • Continue to be an exceptionally organized individual with a strong ability to pay attention to details

  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day while remaining calm and even-tempered

  • Maintain a strong ability to interact and get along with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Excel in time management and communication skills

  • Have up-to-date knowledge of event trends

  • Inhabit the ability to manage multiple projects independently

  • Understands the essence of customer service.

  • Able to design and adjust quickly.


Essential Duties

  • Collaborates with Event Designer and help lead them to execution.

  • Takes on special projects from conception to completion for the Logistics Manager, Director of Development, and senior management.

  • Supports Director of Development and purchasing department with sourcing new items.


Requirements:

  • At least (2) years of experience in events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events)

  • Knowledge of event venues, design trends and style.

  • Knowledge of display concepts, construction, art fabrication, and lighting.

  • Able to efficiently and safely use light tools.

  • Sound math skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and good follow-up skills.

  • Driver’s license + access to a vehicle with proof of insurance

  • Located in Chicago, IL or nearby suburb

  • Weekend + holiday availability

  • Daytime and evening flexibility
